We cordially invite you to a lecture by Benjamin Tromly, during which he will present his forthcoming book The Vlasov Army: The Specter of Wartime Betrayal from Stalin to Putin. After the lecture, there will be time for discussion.

We invite you to a public lecture by Michele Mioni from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, whose research explores the political and intellectual foundations of the “European Social Model”, its role in shaping post-1989 visions of European integration, and the tensions between welfare, globalisation, and the EU project.

The discussion will offer insights into what to expect from future U.S.-Mexico relations and the future of the Cuban regime. It will also focus on identifying the root causes of chronic instability in Peru and assess how Argentina is currently faring under President Javier Milei.

CenMAS will connect research across the humanities and social sciences and create a platform to study conflicts, crises, and transformations in regions that have traditionally been the focus of CU Arts: Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Africa.
